P90X3 Results for Women

Banner for X3 P90X3 test group results are finally in. I am SUPER stoked to see the amazing results that this group had. Most of you are probably familiar with all of the hype that P90X has generated over the last few years. Personally, I had a hard time with the duration of the workouts in X. When P90X2 came out, I wasn't a fan of so much core work and again, the duration of the workouts. So, the selling point for me with X3 is that it's a well rounded workout that can be completed in 30 minutes!!!!

  Questions you might be asking... Do I have to be a graduate of P90X or P90X2 to complete this program? The answer is NO!  It’s the workout that took notes from it’s siblings, then condensed, and accelerated to become the most dynamic and fastest workout yet. EVERYONE can find 30 minutes a day! The thing that I appreciate most about working out at home is that you can get up and GET TO WORK! No drive time! I used to spend at least 45 minutes a day driving to the gym and back home first in the morning for cardio and then for strength training. I absolutely LOVE being able to have more time with my family now that I work out at home.

The answer to this question varies. MAYBE! TurboFire Mommy Transformation

A majority of the clients that I work with are busy moms that are lacking two things when it comes to working out and eating healthy. These two things are TIME and MOTIVATION. I love TurboFire for the fact that so far all of my clients LOVE the program and visible results are achievable in a short amount of time. I have a passion for fitness and always have, but when I got pregnant with my first son I started feeling like it was a losing battle. I battled Hyperemesis Gravidarum for the first half of the pregnancy and lost quite a bit of weight after not being able to eat anything or drink anything. Once the HG went away my appetite came back with a vengeance! I not only gained back every pound I lost, but I also gained 40 more on top of that. I tried on my own for over a year to lose the 40 pounds I gained, and eventually was successful, except for the last 10 pounds (which would not come off no matter what I did). I finally was introduced to P90X and in 30 days was able to lose the weight and finally feel good about myself again. Shortly after that we decided to have another baby... I battled HG again, but this time worse! Once I was able to eat again I was determined to not gain as much as my last pregnancy, so I ate very healthy and clean throughout the remainder of my pregnancy. The clean eating helped so much in terms of my weight gain. After my 2nd son was born I wanted to get back to my old self again much faster than last time. I was determined to feel confident in a bikini before summer, so I decided to try Turbo Fire. This time I was able to lose all of my baby weight (plus a few extra pounds) in 30 days! My youngest son was only 3 1/2 months old and I was already back to feeling like my old confident self! I never thought that was possible in such a short time after having a baby, but I am proof that it is possible! I'm not going to say it was easy, because it wasn't, but it was definitely worth it! If you want the results bad enough and are willing to put in the effort, Turbo Fire will get you there! I have tried so many different workout programs, but Turbo Fire is, by far, my FAVORITE! It is upbeat and fun, and that is exactly what i look for in a workout program. I am so passionate about Beachbody products, because I know from personal experience that they work! The best part is that most of the workouts are short enough that i can fit them in at home while still juggling being an Army wife and a mom to a 2 year old and a new baby. My youngest son still wakes up at night every few hours, so I struggle to find the energy sometimes during the day, but I feel so much better on the days I do my workouts and drink my Shakeology! Now that I am living a healthy, fit lifestyle I know that I am able to be the best Mom I can be for my boys.

Body Beast for Women

Body Beast is one of Beachbody's newest and hottest home workout programs on the market. Sagi Kalev, the BEAST trainer, focuses on providing a researched based program that is designed to create size. Of course, huge muscles are desirable to many MEN, but what about WOMEN? Here's the money question. Is BODY BEAST appropriate for WOMEN?

Here is my personal opinion and review. I believe that Body Beast can absolutely be used by women and SHOULD BE! There is no reason for women to fear bulking up with the use of a strength training program. I have discussed this a little more in detail in a previous blog post, so I am not going to go into detail. Here is what I have learned from my experiences with previous approaches and what I have experienced with the BODY BEAST program. When I am not consistent with a strength training routine and I am focused more on a cardio based approach, I don't see progress with my body. I am able to maintain, however I never see the improvements that I am looking for. I begin to feel flabby and frustrated. This is the way that I was feeling prior to starting Body Beast in January. I took my body fat with an electronic body fat calculator and found that my body fat was at almost 27%. I was really disappointed in myself and the thing the GOT me was that my weight had not changed. I had maintained at around 120-124 for months. Keep in mind that I came off a competition a year and a half ago where my body fat was probably under 15%.

I decided to start Body Beast with a challenge group of mine in January. Here were my 3 biggest concerns with starting Beast:

1)  Suggested caloric intake was close to 2000 calories (approximately 500 calories more than I typically consume).
2)  Minimal cardio (only one day a week as opposed to my typical 5 days a week).
3)  Equipment--Will I have the equipment necessary to complete this program?

I am currently 7 weeks into the program and have noticed SIGNIFICANT changes.

1)  I am currently at 124 pounds and am down to 22.6% body fat.
2)  My arms are tighter with definition in shoulders, biceps, triceps.
3.) Legs and butt are also tighter and showing definition.
4.) Cellulite is less noticeable behind my legs
I am super excited with my progress and cannot wait to finish this program. I am excited to get to the last phase where I can cut down on my calories, increase cardio, and shed more fat to reveal my newly sculpted body!

You will need the Body Beast Program, DVD player, TV, supplements (if desired), body ball or bench, appropriate weights (my hubby and I just purchased a set of PowerBlocks to make sure that we both have the weights that we need), bands or a pull up bar for back. A pull up bar is recommended. My hubby has had two accidents with bands :(

Brazil Butt Lift Pencil Test



The Brazil Butt lift pencil test is becoming quite popular! Although I've heard that it is quite old school, from the 70's!?!?! What is it? Well, it's a simple way to determine whether or not your booty needs a lift! You basically take a pencil and place it in the crease under your booty. If the pencil stays...you need a lift! How to Boost your Metabolism and LOSE WEIGHT

When people decide that it is time to take control of their health and fitness, they usually turn to exercise. Are you one of the girls that decides to start exercising again and heads to the gym to do 30 minutes to an hour on the treadmill or elliptical with no results? That used to be me! I really did not GET the fact that exercise was only a small piece of the puzzle. The missing piece is that you CANNOT out exercise a bad diet. Now here is another problem. Many people decide they are ready for a change and then try something drastic like not eating at all or following an extremely low calorie diet that is not safe or sustainable.

I need to get something clear before we move on. Going all day without eating and then having a huge dinner is possibly the WORST thing that you can do if you are wanting to get healthy and fit! I would say that 80% of the women that come to me with 50-100 pounds to lose, only eat a few meals a day! They can't understand why they continue to gain weight when they are trying to lose and don't eat very often. These types of eating habits cause your metabolism to slow down which in turn makes it even harder for you to lose weight! When you do eat, especially if you're eating processed, unhealthy food, your body will hold on to what you consume not knowing when it will receive it's next fuel. Even if you are consuming healthy foods when you are eating, your weight lost consists of primarily water and muscle when you are at a severe calorie deficit. Muscle is good and is what burns fat!

Here are some small tips to start with. I'm sure you've heard them before, but I will say it again!

 1.)     Eat 5-6 small meals per day and drink WATER!

 2.)    Never go more than 3 hours without eating

 3.)    Keep meals CLEAN (unprocessed foods like fruits, veggies, lean proteins, and healthy carbs)

 4.)    Incorporate a balance of strength training and cardio training into your weekly routine.

 5.)    Don't be afraid to lift weights!!!! It is EXTREMELY difficult for women to BULK like the hulk. The more muscle that you build, the more fat you will burn!

January Internship

 I am an Independent Team Beachbody coach! This opportunity has truly changed my life. I was able to make the transition from a full-time job that was not bringing out the best in me, to a full-time stay at home mom/fitness coach. Words cannot express what this change has done for my personal happiness and the happiness of my family. I no longer come home from work crying out of frustration that comes with managing an organization and I no longer have to feel unappreciated in the work place. I am NOW surrounded by the most uplifting, positive group of leaders that support me 100% in all of my endeavors. I am NOW able to earn a great income by living a healthy and fit lifestyle and empowering others to do the same.

JANUARY INTERNSHIP I will be hand-selecting and personally mentoring 5 individuals in a small group setting, one-on-one, and through the Internet. During the first three months, I will teach you everything that I know about this business. However, it will be UP TO YOU to take the initiative to WORK, apply the knowledge, and build your business. I am looking for motivated individuals that have a love for health and fitness, have a true desire to help and support others, and will dedicate at least 10 hours a week to this internship.
